Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, on Wednesday published the first cut-off marks for admission to Plus Two courses, with Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack once again recording the highest cut-offs across the Arts, Science and Commerce streams.
According to the first merit list, Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School has fixed the cut-off at 81 per cent for Arts, 93.40 per cent for Science and 82.40 per cent for Commerce, reaffirming its position as the state’s most sought-after institution for Higher Secondary education.
The Science stream cut-off of 93.40 per cent, the highest in the state, reflects the intense competition among students seeking admission to premier institutions.
Following the publication of the first cut-off list, students have started comparing their marks with the prescribed cut-offs and are preparing to complete the admission process.
The CHSE has advised candidates selected in the first round to report to their allotted institutions with the required documents and complete admission formalities within the stipulated timeline.
The high cut-off marks this year indicate that competition for admission to Odisha’s leading Higher Secondary institutions continues to remain strong, particularly in the Science stream, where demand significantly outstrips the available seats.
