Bhubaneswar: All government, government-aided, and private schools across Odisha will remain closed from April 27 due to the intense heatwave in the state.
The decision was taken after the School and Mass Education Department submitted a proposal, which received immediate approval from the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
As per the government decision, while classes will remain suspended, pre-scheduled examinations, census-related work, and other essential office functions will continue as planned.
This proactive step by the Odisha government aims to protect school children from the extreme heat conditions currently affecting the state.
