Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has congratulated the team behind Odisha’s impressive performance in the solar energy sector, stating that the state has set a shining example for the entire country in solar energy adoption and sustainable development.
In a post on X, CM Majhi said that Odisha has been selected for the prestigious ‘PM Surya Ghar Excellence Awards’ for its outstanding performance during the ‘Month of Solar’ campaign held in May 2026.
The state has secured the first position among states with a medium number of consumers in three key categories — highest number of applications, highest solar installations, and highest DISCOM inspections. Additionally, Odisha has achieved the third position in the ‘Maximum Vendor Registrations’ category.
The Chief Minister described this success as the outcome of the government’s far-sighted vision, excellent inter-departmental coordination, and the collective hard work of officers and staff at the grassroots level. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to all departments, officials, and stakeholders associated with the campaign.
CM Majhi further reiterated that his government remains firmly committed to environment-friendly development in the renewable energy sector.
He expressed confidence that this achievement will significantly strengthen the state’s power sector and lay a strong foundation for building a self-reliant Odisha in the coming days.
