Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday expressed deep grief over the demise of legendary Odia playback singer Pranab Patnaik.
In a condolence message posted on X, the Chief Minister said he was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of the great artist who had mesmerized entire Odisha with his timeless voice.
CM Majhi noted that the death of the incomparable music doyen, who was honoured with several awards including the Jayadev Puraskar, Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and State Film Awards, has created an irreparable void in the field of Odia art and culture.
“The melody of his sweet voice and timeless music will remain immortal in the heart of every Odia,” the Chief Minister said.
Majhi extended his deep condolences to the bereaved family members and countless admirers and prayed before Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath for the salvation of the departed soul.
