Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended heartfelt congratulations to eminent Odia researcher and litterateur Dr Mahendra Kumar Mishra for being conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri Award 2026.
Dr Mishra received the award from the President of India Droupadi Murmu at a special ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. In his message, CM Majhi described the honour as a matter of immense pride for the entire state of Odisha.
He praised Dr Mishra’s outstanding contributions in the fields of literature and education. “Heartfelt congratulations and greetings to the distinguished researcher and litterateur of Odisha, Dr Mahendra Kumar Mishra, who received the Padma Shri Award for the year 2026,” the Chief Minister posted.
CM Majhi further offered prayers at the feet of Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath, wishing Mishra a long, healthy, disease-free life and continued success in his endeavours.
