CM Majhi Meets Industry Leaders In Delhi, Eyes Rs 10,000 Cr Investments

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday held one-on-one meetings with top industry leaders in New Delhi on the sidelines of the Odisha Food Pro 2026 Investors Summit and Roadshow, as the state pushes to attract major investments in the food processing sector.

During the Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings, the CM discussed investment proposals and project implementation with senior executives from leading companies.

Those who met the CM included Sumant Singhal, CEO of Chiripal Polyfilms; Hemant Rupani, CEO & Director of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages; Shyam Virani and Keur Virani, Directors of Balaji Wafers; Vinod Kaira, CEO & Founder of Let’s Try; and Manas Madhu, Founder of Beyond Snacks.

The state government has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with these companies. Industries Minister Sampada Chandra Swain and senior officials also attended the meetings along with the Chief Minister.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister’s Office said the discussions focused on “expediting investment proposals, strengthening strategic partnerships and accelerating the implementation of projects across Odisha’s food processing sector.”

“Reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to investment-led growth, the Chief Minister assured seamless facilitation, time-bound support and continuous engagement to translate investment commitments into projects on the ground,” the CMO posted.

The state government has set a target of securing investment proposals worth Rs 10,000 crore through Odisha Food Pro 2026.Officials said the engagements are aimed at positioning Odisha as a preferred destination for food processing investments, which will create jobs and drive inclusive industrial growth in the state.

The roadshow in Delhi is part of the government’s outreach ahead of the main Odisha Food Pro 2026 summit to be held in the state.
