Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi distributed the fourth installment of Subhadra Yojana to eligible woman beneficiaries.
The event was held at Puri, where Majhi transferred the amount directly to the bank accounts of over 1.2 crore beneficiaries through DBT.
A total 1,02,12,665 beneficiaries received the financial assistance today.
The total amount transferred exceeds Rs. 5106 crore. Additionally, 36,385 beneficiaries who had registered complaints on the CM grievance portal will also receive the Subhadra money. The scheme’s benefits will now be extended to women turning 21 in April, with the second installment being provided to those who are already 21.
Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida was present at the event, which saw 2 lakh 13 thousand new beneficiaries joining the scheme. The initiative aims to support women’s welfare and empowerment in the state.
