Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held crucial meetings with several Union Ministers in New Delhi, discussing key state issues and developmental initiatives. Majhi met with Union Jal Shakti Minister, C. R. Patil, and raised concerns over the Mahanadi water dispute with Chhattisgarh, seeking a fair and amicable resolution.
During the meeting, Majhi handed over the ‘Vision Odisha 2036 | 2047’ document, outlining the state’s long-term development approach. He emphasised the need for a just and fair resolution to the Mahanadi water dispute.
The CM also met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed Centre-State coordination and various developmental initiatives of the state. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of cooperation between the Centre and the State in driving development.
In another meeting, Majhi called on Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Public Enterprises, and Steel, HD Kumarswamy, and discussed the development of the steel sector in Odisha, including the expansion of Rourkela Steel Plant. Majhi presented the ‘Vision Odisha 2036 | 2047’ document to the Minister, highlighting the state’s long-term development goals.
The meetings mark a significant step towards strengthening Centre-State relations and driving development in Odisha. Majhi’s efforts to engage with Union Ministers are expected to yield positive outcomes for the state, particularly in resolving the Mahanadi water dispute and promoting industrial growth.
