Bhubaneswar: Acting on an order of the Orissa High Court regarding the Sri Jagannath Temple Ratna Bhandar, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday formed a high-level committee under the chairmanship of Justice Arijit Pasayat, a former judge of the Supreme Court. This committee will supervise the preparation of the inventory of Mahaprabhu’s jewels and various valuables in the Ratna Bhandar. The committee comprises 12 members, including the chairman.
The other members of this committee are:
- Renowned cardiologist Dr. Ramakant Panda, Vice-President,
- Vidhushan Samal, former CMD of Allahabad Bank,
- AK Sabat, Chartered Accountant,
- Representative of the Puri Gajapati Maharaja,
- Dibyasingh Deva, Chairman of Shree Jagannath Temple Management Committee,
- Representative of the Archaeological Survey of India,
- Durgaprasad Das Mohapatra, Representative of Servitors,
- Madhav Chandra Mohapatra, Representative of Servitors,
- Jagannath Kar, Representative of Servitors,
- Ganesh Mekap, Bhandar Mekap Servitor,
- Puri District Collector and Deputy Chief Administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple.
The SJTA Chief Administrator will be the convenor of the committee.
