Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police will move to court to seek the remand of Hansita Abhilipsa and her aide Anil Mohanty, accused of duping several high-profile personalities in the state.
As per reports, the police will seek a five-day remand of Hansita and Anil. The application will be filed in the JMFC court. The Special Crime Unit has filed two cases against her. Additionally, there are allegations of flesh trade against her. The duo was earlier remanded and during interrogation, the police had gathered crucial information.
The investigating team is seeking to gather more information regarding their alleged involvement in human trafficking and therefore, will move to court to seek their remand again, informed Twin City Police Commissioner S Debadatta Singh.
Notably, Hansita and her accomplice, Anil, were taken into custody by Bhubaneswar police on December 31 for allegedly siphoning off funds. They posed as the daughter and son-in-law of PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to carry out their fraudulent activities.
