Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-Kataka Commissionerate Police has issued a public notice appealing to citizens to report vehicles fitted with modified silencers that produce excessive or unnecessary noise in violation of the law.
According to the notice, residents can help curb noise pollution by sending a photo or video of such vehicles along with their registration numbers. The information can be shared on the designated WhatsApp number +91 82803 38302.
The police have assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential. The initiative aims to enable authorities to take appropriate action against noise pollution and create a safer, quieter environment for everyone.
The Commissionerate Police has requested public cooperation in this effort.
