Bhubaneswar: Odia film actor Manoj Mishra landed in trouble after Odisha Film & Television Directors’ Association lodged a complaint against him at Cyber police station in Cuttack over his alleged controversial remarks on social media sites.
Mishra has sparked outrage in Odia cine industry with his contentious remarks on social media, questioning the talent of Odia directors. Mishra allegedly claimed that Odisha lacks capable directors and incompetent producers.
Noted film director Sabyasachi Mohapatra said that Manoj Mishra’s statement on social media against directors has hurt the sentiments of directors and producers. The way he commented against the directors and producers is of very low standard. Such behaviour is going out of control gradually, Mohapatra added.
During Covid period, many good films were released. If some of them don’t run well, that doesn’t mean all films are of low quality, he expressed.
