Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on September 17, the Commissionerate Police held a preparatory meeting today to discuss security arrangements for the event. PM Modi is scheduled to launch the Subhadra Scheme at Janata Maidan and address a massive gathering.
Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda said that the meeting focused on traffic arrangements, route lining, and venue security. “We are working to ensure full-proof security for all VIPs and participants. PM’s security is arranged in adherence to the Blue Book rules,” he added.
To ensure a secure environment, a temporary control room has been set up at Janata Maidan, and a dog squad and bomb disposal squad are regularly examining the venue. Proper barricading systems are being put in place from the airport to Janata Maidan.
DGP YB Khurnia, accompanied by Commissioner Sanjeev Panda and DCP Pratek Singh, visited the venue to review the security arrangements. The police are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a seamless and secure event.
