Mayurbhanj: In a horrifying incident, a lady and her husband killed a youth from Odisha’s Rairangpur in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur and dismembered him into several pieces to conceal the identity of the victim.
The matter came to light when the victim’s wife Inushree filed a missing complaint at the Rairangpur police station in the Mayurbhanj district that her husband Vicky was missing since March 20. Acting on the complaint, the police launched an investigation and came to know about the murder of the youth.
According to reports, Vicky alias Mohanty, a resident of Rairangpur town, was in a relationship with Khusub Sagar of Jamshedpur for about a year. After a disagreement between the two over some issues, Vicky reportedly threatened the woman to reveal their relationship to her family members. Panicked over the threat, the woman (Khusub Sagar) planned to kill Vicky with her husband.
On April 21, she invited Vicky to her house in Jamshedpur and spiked his drink at night. After Vicky fell asleep, Khusbu and her husband Kamalakant Sagar first killed Vicky and subsequently cut his body into several pieces with a saw and filled the body parts in three bags.
The town police recovered the body parts and sent them to Baripada FMT for autopsy. Along with this, the blade used in the murder and a bike were seized, Rairangpur SDPO Gukulnand Sahu informed.
The couple was produced in court in Rairangpur and sent to judicial custody.
