Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) will organise a three-day Raja Mahotsav in the city from June 14 to 16, 2026, along the banks of the Mahanadi river, celebrating Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and traditional Raja Parba.
The festival will showcase a vibrant blend of Odisha’s culture, literature, art and traditions, while also highlighting the lives and achievements of eminent Odia women. The event is aimed at celebrating womanhood in line with the spirit of Raja Parba.
According to CMC Mayor Subhash Singh, the venue will be developed into five thematic zones to offer a curated experience for visitors. The festival will feature traditional Raja decorations, free alta and mehendi application, face art, and nail art sessions.

Dedicated food zones will serve cakes, beverages, and a variety of traditional delicacies, making the event a cultural and culinary attraction for citizens of all age groups.
CMC Commissioner Kirandeep Kaur Sahota said a special Saraswati zone will be set up, featuring books authored by women writers. The zone will also include reading spaces, poetry recitations, storytelling sessions, and interactive engagements between authors and readers.
The festival will be held daily from 10 am to 8 pm and will conclude each evening with cultural performances by local artistes and cultural troupes.
