Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi this evening to discuss the state’s preparedness for Cyclone Dana.
As per an official press release, during the call, the Chief Minister provided a detailed update on the ongoing evacuation efforts. He also outlined the deployment of security forces, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), to ensure the safety and security of the public.
Following the discussion, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with Odisha’s level of preparedness to handle the cyclone.
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister also had a discussion with the Chief Minister earlier in the afternoon.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke with the Chief Minister, assuring full assistance and cooperation from the central government.
