Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officials launched simultaneous searches at seven properties linked to Sri Satyanarayan Sethy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kotpada Block in Koraput district on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
Acting on a complaint and with search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore, teams led by 7 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 9 Inspectors, 11 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff are conducting the raids.
The searches are underway at the following locations across Koraput, Khordha, and Kendrapada districts:
• Rented residential house of Sethy at Parabeda, Jeypore, Koraput district.
• Residential flat (No. G/B.6-14, Ground Floor, Block-B-6, Plot No.132) in Hi-tech Plaza, Madhipur Mauza, Jatani, Khordha district.
• Parental residential house at Village Jahangar, Via-Chandol, P.S. Derabis, Kendrapada district.
• Government residential quarter at Kotpad, Jeypore, Koraput district.
• Office chamber of Sethy at Kotpad, Koraput district.
• Two separate farms belonging to Sri Sethy at Mouza Taragaon, Boriguma Tahasil, Koraput district.
Till the last report came in, the raids are still in progress. A detailed inventory of assets and further updates are expected once the searches conclude.
