Bhubaneswar: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over four Odisha districts on January 4, according to the prediction of the India Meteorological Department.
The districts likely to be affected by dense fog are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, and Koraput.
In addition to the dense fog alert, the IMD has also predicted shallow to moderate fog at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj on January 4 and January 5.
Meanwhile, the weather office has advised commuters to exercise caution while travelling as dense fog is expected to reduce visibility, causing disruptions to daily life and other activities.
Also, the IMD has forecast dry weather to prevail over all districts of Odisha from January 6 to January 10. This dry spell is expected to bring relief from the foggy conditions, but may also lead to a rise in temperatures.
