Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Dhenkanal District Education Officer (DEO) Paresh Patra for contempt of court. The warrant was issued after Patra failed to comply with previous orders in a compassionate recruitment case.
The petitioner, whose father was a headmaster, had applied for a job under the rehabilitation scheme but received no response from the DEO. The High Court had directed Patra to take action within a specified time, but he failed to do so.
The police have been ordered to produce Patra in court tomorrow.
