Rayagada: Diarrhoea has reportedly taken the life of six persons in the last three days at Tikiri and Dhudukabahal villages under Kashipur block in Rayagada district.
CDMO Dr. Lalmohan Routray informed that a medical is taking stock of the situation in the affected villages and it has been find that the water of an open well is infected.
As people are using the water for daily use, Routray has asked the Collector to arrange for an alternate water source. The Collector has instructed the Sub-Collector to act accordingly.
Meanwhile, medicines are being distributed to all the families in the affected villages and an additional doctor has been sent to Tikiri Primary Health Centre.
