Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday launched simultaneous searches at nine locations belonging to Prasanna Kumar Swain, Assistant Engineer (Civil) of the Bhanjanagar irrigation division in Ganjam district on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets.
The raids, led by seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), five Inspectors/ASIs, and supporting staff, were carried out based on search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Berhampur.
The properties being searched include a triple-storeyed residential building located at Bagdevi Road at Bhanjanagar, a four-storeyed building at Tulsinagar of Berhampur, a triple-storeyed building at Bagdevi road at Bhanjanagar, a double-storeyed under construction building at Word no 6 NAC Bhanjanagar, a triple-storeyed building located at Bhanajanagar, a relative’s house at Raghunath Vihar in Bhanjanagar, the house of his cousin at Bhanjanagar, office chamber of Swain at Bhanjanagar and a single-storeyed parental house at Luduludi under Bhanjanagar police station.
