Bhubaneswar: DJ will not be allowed to play during Durga Puja and immersion in the capital this year as well.
The decision was taken at the preparatory meeting for Dussehra Durga Puja, Ravan Podi and immersion held today.
Twin City Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh said after the meeting, “All Puja committee representatives, intellectuals, MLAs, MPs, electricity department staff and police officials discussed smooth conduct of Durga Puja in Bhubaneswar this year. We took feedback from last year. The preparations and arrangements of last year were appreciated by all.”
“We all agreed and committed to ensure peace, safety, security and hassle-free Puja,” he added.
Singh said committees have been asked to deploy adequate volunteers at respective pandals and nearby areas, install CCTV cameras and obtain fire safety clearance from the fire department. A single window will open after September 29, where anyone can lodge problems and grievances online, the Commissioner said.
