Bargarh: A man allegedly killed his aunt and cousin sister following a dispute over mushrooms at Pathuri village under Padmapur police limits in Bargarh district on Monday.
According to reports, an argument broke out between Shashi Bhushan Nag and his brother Bishikeshan Nag after mushrooms cultivated by Bishikeshan went missing. Suspecting Shashi’s involvement, Bishikeshan reportedly raised an alarm on Monday morning. Enraged by the accusation, Shashi confronted Bishikeshan, leading to a violent scuffle.
Shashi then allegedly attacked Bishikeshan with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured. He also attacked his aunt and cousin sister, who died on the spot.
The accused later surrendered at Padmapur police station.
Police reached the spot, recovered the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem. Further investigation is in progress.
