Key projects under review included the Balangir, Subarnapur, and Patnagarh bypasses. He urged officials to accelerate the pace of work to ensure timely completion.
Recently, during his visit to Delhi, the Deputy Chief Minister played an instrumental role in securing environmental clearance for these projects from the Forest and Environment Department, Government of India. The successful implementation of these projects is expected to greatly improve traffic flow and transportation facilities in Western Odisha, while also enhancing the region’s infrastructure.
Emphasising environmental concerns, Singh Deo advised that during road widening and new construction, existing trees should be replanted instead of being cut down.
