Elderly Woman Trampled To Death By Wild Elephant In Deogarh

Man Trampled To Death

Deogarh: A 60-year-old woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Aunli village under Reamal block in Deogarh district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Pati Pradhan, a resident of Aunli village in the district.

According to reports, the woman had gone to Aunli Khesara forest to collect mahua flowers when she was attacked by a wild elephant.

Following the incident, local police and forest officials rushed to the spot and recovered the body, which was later sent for post-mortem examination.

Deogarh Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Rashmi stated that compensation will be provided to the bereaved family as per government norms.
