Jajpur: In a tragic incident, a man and his son were electrocuted to death during electric repair in their house at Bengapatia village under Danagadi block in Jajpur district today.
The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Mandal and his son Aashu Mandal. The wife of Ganesh Tulsi Mandal sustained critical injuries in the accident.
Ashu came in contact with live wire during electricity repair while his father was electrocuted in his bid to save his son. Tulsi also suffered injuries while trying to save them.
She was admitted to Danagadi CHC in critical condition.
On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated investigation.
Police seized the bodies for post-mortem.
In a separate incident, a woman also died in similar way. She came in contact with live electric wire while repairing her ceiling fan in Kamakhyanagar of Dhenkanal district.
