Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for fishermen along and off the Odisha coast in view of squally weather and rough sea conditions.
As per the forecast, squally weather with wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is very likely to prevail along and off Odisha Coast from August 22 to August 24.The sea condition is also likely to be rough to very rough along and off Odisha Coast during the same period. In view of this, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off Odisha Coast from 22nd to 24th August, 2026.
The IMD has advised fishermen who are already at sea to return to the coast at the earliest and the public to keep a close watch on further updates.
