Former Chitrakonda MLA Dambaru Sisa Quits BJD

Bhubaneswar: Former Chitrakonda MLA Dambaru Sisa on Thursday resigned from the primary membership of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

Sisa, a youth leader from the Bonda tribal community, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly in 2014 on a BJD ticket.

The former MLA today sent his resignation letter to BJD president Naveen Patnaik.

Sisa was denied a BJD ticket to contest in the 2019 General Elections.  The tribal leader mentioned in the letter that he would soon begin afresh. He was an aspirant for a ticket from BJD for the 2024 General Elections.
