Four Of A Family Sustain Burn Injuries In Ganjam Village

Sorada (Ganjam): Four of a family sustained grievous burn injuries after a fire broke out in Prathi Naik’s house here under Sorda police station limits of Ganjam district on Monday evening. All four burn victims were first admitted to Sorda Medical Center. Later, two victims Dhobuni and her niece Anjali were shifted to Brahpur Medical Center as their condition deteriorated. Two other victims – Prathi and Sushma – are undergoing treatment at Sorda Medical Centre.

According to reports, a fire broke out suddenly when Prathi and Dhobuni were cooking dinner outside the house. Soon, the fire spread inside the house injuring all four victims. Two members of the family, Sushma and five-year-old Anjali were sleeping inside the house when the incident occurred.
