Bhubaneswar: In a shocking and heinous incident, a 13-year-old minor girl was abducted, gang-raped, and later dumped unconscious on the roadside near her house by four youths at Rairangpur town in Mayurbhanj district.
According to sources, the victim, along with her elder sister, had gone to a nearby river to attend nature’s call around 2 pm when four intoxicated youths reached the spot. The accused forcibly abducted the younger sister, bundled her into a car, and fled from the location. The elder sister immediately rushed home and informed the family, who began searching for the girl but could not trace her.
Around 10 PM, the accused allegedly dumped her in an unconscious state on the road near her house before fleeing. Family members found the girl and rushed her to Rairangpur Hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment. After regaining consciousness, the minor girl narrated the horrifying ordeal to her family and police. She stated that the four youths took her to an isolated location and gang-raped her one after another for nearly three hours.
A case has been registered at Rairangpur Police Station, and police have launched an intensive investigation to identify and nab the culprits at the earliest.
Till the last report came in, none of the accused have been arrested.
