Boudh: Kantamal Police have seized approximately two quintals of ganja hidden inside a water tanker in Kantamal area of Boudh district.
Acting on specific intelligence, Kantamal police intercepted a tractor with an attached water tanker near Tikirapada Road today. Upon inspection, instead of water, authorities were shocked to find large quantities of ganja stored inside the tanker.
Police, in the presence of a Magistrate, opened the tanker and recovered the contraband. The tractor, water tanker, and the seized ganja have been confiscated. The driver of the vehicle has been detained for questioning.
Speaking to the media, Kantamal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Prakash Bhoi said that the exact quantity of ganja will be confirmed after proper weighing. Further investigation is underway to determine the source and destination of the consignment.
