Ganjam Hooch Tragedy: One More Succumbs, Toll Rises To 5

Ganjam Hooch tragedy

Bhubaneswar: The death toll in Ganjam hooch tragedy rose to five on Monday with the death of one more person at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Pradeep Behera of Jenapur village. Jena was undergoing treatment at the Medicine Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur.

Earlier, four people had died in the hooch tragedy. Currently, while a total of six persons are undergoing treatment at the MKCG Medical College & Hospital, three are in the ICU.

On Sunday, one Baya Sethi from Karabalua village died in the hospital during treatment while one Lakshman Behera had succumbed on Saturday. Two other villagers had died earlier.
