Nuapada: In a shocking incident, a youth was killed by his maternal grandfather in Krishna village under Komna police station limits in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Dushmanth, while his grandfather Yadumani Hans is the accused.
According to reports, Dushmanth abused his maternal grandmother during a family dispute on Friday morning. Angered over this, his grandfather Yadumani stabbed Dushmanth in the chest with a sharp weapon.
Dushmanth was rushed to the Komna Hospital in a critical condition and succumbed to his injuries there.
On being informed, Komna police reached the village and arrested Yadumani. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
