Puri: A group clash was reported at Uttarana Math Sahi under Chandanpur police limits near Puri on Monday, allegedly over fishing.
According to reports, members of two groups engaged in a clash and pelted stones at each other, leaving three to four people injured. During the clash, a thatched house was also allegedly set on fire.
On being informed, the IIC of Chandanpur Police Station and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Puri SP said strict legal action will be taken against those found involved in the clash.
