Gutkha, Paan, Intoxicants To Be Banned At Maa Samaleswari Shrine

Gutkha banned at Samleswari temple

Sambalpur: Consumption of intoxicants, paan, gutkha, bidis, cigarettes, etc will banned in the premises of Maa Samaleswari Peeth with effect from tomorrow (Sunday).

A decision in this regard has been taken by the Sri Samaleswari Temple Trust Board, informed Board President Sanjay Babu.

Babu said that fine shall be imposed on those found violating the ban. Maintaining sanctity and cleanliness in the temple premises is the duty and responsibility of the devotees, he added.

The Board has requested all devotees, priests and employees to refrain from consuming the banned items and sensitize others as well, he further said.
