Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced half-day school in Bhubaneswar on Friday in view of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the three-day DGP-IG Conference in the capital city.
The decision to declare half-day school holiday was taken considering that children will face difficulties in travelling due to traffic restrictions in the city. The capital city has been wrapped with tight security measures for the three-day conference and numerous traffic restrictions have been imposed. Movement of vehicles has been banned on the several roads for the security of the VVIPs visiting the city.
