Bhubaneswar: The Health and Family Welfare Department on Wednesday convened a meeting to review the preparedness for FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup. Commissioner-cum-Secretary, H&FW Department chaired the meeting.
The importance of the international event as a celebration and community participation was highlighted at the meeting. Superintendents, Deans and Principals of Medical Colleges and CDM & PHOs attended the meeting.
The CDM & PHOs of Cuttack, Khordha, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda and the Superintendents of the MC&Hs of these four districts along with the Director, RGH, Rourkela & Director Capital Hospital will not allow the required personnel to avail the routine leave during the Hockey world cup period unless the same is required extraordinarily.
All above CDM & PHOs & Directors to indent additional drugs & Consumables assessing their requirement to MD, OSMCL. A due planning will be made by the CDM & PHOs of the above four districts, Director, Capital Hospital & RGH, Rourkela and other HoDs for mobilising adequate number of ambulances.
The ambulance requirement should be assessed in all the venues taking into consideration the anticipated crowd load and for attending to other Trauma cases. Earmark beds in the health facility – at Capital Hospital, and RGH, Rourkela 50 each, DHH Sundargarh and Jharsuguda 20 each, the officials were advised respectively.
COVID Testing: All UPHCs and UCHCs in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Rourkela will have the facility for RAT and Swab Collection for RT-PCR with clear signage showing the location for testing.
