Bhubaneswar: Heat wave conditions continued to prevail in Odisha with mercury registering 40°C and beyond in as many as 10 places on Wednesday.
Boudh recorded the highest daytime temperature of 41.8 °C followed by Malkangiri 41.6°C, Titilagarh 41.5°C, Bolangir 41.5°C, Angul 41.3°C, Bhawanipatna 41°C, Jharsuguda 40.8°C, Nayagarh 40.6°C, Sambalpur 40.4°C and Talcher 40.4°C, said the evening weather bulletin of the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 36.8°C and 38.2°C respectively.
Further, the regional office of the IMD here has issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ indicating that hot and humid weather with heat wave conditions and warmer nights is very likely to prevail in the State till April 6 ( Saturday).
