Bhubaneswar: Schools in parts of Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj districts have been ordered closed on September 1 amid heavy rainfall and the ongoing flood situation.
In Bhadrak district, ten schools in Tihidi and Chandbali blocks will remain shut following directions from the district administration. The decision has been taken keeping the safety of children in mind.
In Mayurbhanj district, all schools in Badasahi and Betanati blocks have been declared closed due to heavy rain and the possibility of flooding. The district administration has also directed 38 headmasters to make arrangements for shelter facilities.
Authorities are closely monitoring the weather and flood conditions and have advised residents to remain cautious.
