Bhubaneswar: The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at one or two places over Gajapati, Ganjam, and Kandhamal districts in the next 24 hours.
Similarly, rain accompanied by lightning is likely to occur over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda.
The rainfall activities will continue in several places in Odisha till June 26. The amount of rainfall is likely to increase after June 26, IMD stated in a bulletin.
The southwest monsoon is active over the State of Odisha.
Yesterday’s cyclonic circulation over interior Odisha is now seen over interior Odisha adjoining Chhattisgarh between 1.5 & 7.6 km above mean sea level, the IMD said.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Navsari, Jalgaon, Mandla, Pendra Road, Jharsuguda, Balasore, Haldia, Pakur, Sahibganj and Raxaul.
