Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind for the next three days in several districts of Odisha.
According to the forecast for Day 1, valid upto 8: 30 am of October 17, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind with wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada.
For Day 2, valid from 8:30 am of October 17 to 08:30 am of October 18, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind with wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam.
For Day 3, valid from 0830 hrs IST of 18.10.2026 to 0830 hrs IST of 19.10.2026, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind with wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri.
