Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and light to moderate rainfall in four districts of Odisha over the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued at 9:35 pm, light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and wind speeds of up to 40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places over Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur districts within the next three hours.
The IMD has advised people to remain vigilant in view of possible deterioration in weather conditions and to take necessary precautions by moving to safer locations to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
