Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation lies over East Jharkhand & adjoining north Odisha between 1.5 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) latest weather bulletin issued today.
Under its impact, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur during the next 24 hours.
Also, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha during the same period.
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for these districts.
The IMD has further predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha and at many places over the rest districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
The IMD in its forecast for Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood for the next 24 hours has said that the sky would generally remain cloudy with rain or thunderstorm at one or two places.
Maximum and Minimum temperature is very likely to be around 33°C and 24°C respectively, it added.
