Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conveyed warm greetings and congratulations to all women across the state, hailing them as the true powerhouse of society.

In his message, the CM emphasized that women’s strength forms the real foundation of societal progress. Reiterating his government’s unwavering commitment, he stated that women’s overall development and empowerment remain a top priority.

Highlighting key initiatives, Majhi noted that the ‘Subhadra’ Yojana is granting financial independence to countless women, while the ‘Lakshapati Didi’ campaign is propelling them toward entrepreneurship and self-reliance. He pointed out Odisha’s notable success in creating numerous Lakhpati Didis under this drive.

For girls’ brighter futures, the ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangal’ scheme promises a revolution in education access, complemented by the ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana’ to bolster social security. Maternal and child health continue to receive focused support through the ‘Mamata’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana’ schemes. The CM also spotlighted innovative steps like ‘Subhadra Wellness Centre’ and ‘Subhadra Shakti Sambad’, aimed at enhancing women’s health and awareness.

“Our efforts seek to ensure respect, equal opportunities, and advancement for women in every sphere—from health to economic independence,” Majhi affirmed. He called upon all to celebrate women’s courage and achievements while collectively building a truly equal and inclusive society.
