Bhubaneswar: Internationally renowned mountaineer Vivarani Patra today met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan seeking his blessings for her upcoming expedition.
She is scheduled to start her campaign to climb Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe. Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling was present on the occasion.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated Patra and blessed her for her successful expedition.
Extending best wishes for her next endeavour, the Chief Minister said that her bravery is a great inspiration for the young generation.
“By successfully climbing the highest peaks of Europe and Russia, you will definitely bring laurel to yourself and the State as well, the Chief Minister said.
It is worth noting that Bivarani is a mountaineer from Meramundali near Talcher. She has climbed Mount Stok Kangri in Leh Ladakh in 2019 and Mount Kilmanjaro in Africa in 2023.
In 2019, she was honoured as the Abu Dhabi International Youth Leader. Patra also received many national and international awards.
