Jagatsinghpur: A Mobile Handover Mela was held in the office premises of the Jagatsinghpur Superintendent of Police on Thursday morning.
In the mela, about 200 mobiles, whose estimated value is Rs 5 lakh, were returned to their rightful owners.The police had seized the mobiles from Odisha and outside Odisha. Stolen mobiles, some as old as two to five years, were returned to their owners today.
The police seized all these mobiles through ‘Operation Reconnect’ from the Central Zone.Central Range IG Satyajit Nayak participated in the fair and distributed the mobiles to the rightful owners.Among others, Jagatsinghpur District SP Ankit Kumar Verma and other officers were present at the fair.
