Jajpur: In a deeply shocking and tragic incident, a family in Manasipatan village under Kanika Pada Panchayat under Mangalpur Police Station in Jajpur district was devastated after losing two family members in one night. A person reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself after learning his son’s death in heart attack.
The deceased have been identified as Steamer Panda alias Silu, owner of Gayatri Digital Studio in Mangalpur Bazar, and his father Rasananda Panda. Silu died of a heart attack while rushing his employee to the hospital, while his father Rasananda took his own life after learning about his son’s sudden death.
The incident began when Bhiki, an employee at Gayatri Digital Studio, consumed poison. While rushing the employee to the hospital, studio owner Silu suddenly suffered a heart attack. He returned home after feeling uneasy. As his chest pain became unbearable, he was rushed to the hospital, where he died while doctors were preparing to conduct an ECG.
Upon receiving the news of his son’s death, Rasananda was overcome with grief and committed suicide by hanging himself.
The employee Bhiki, who consumed poison, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Cuttack and is reported to be in critical condition. He is battling for his life.
The entire Mangalpur area is plunged into mourning following this heartbreaking sequence of events that claimed lives of father-son duo in one night and left a family shattered.
