Jeypore (Koraput): A junior engineer of Barapali block in Bargarh district was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside his car with severe burns.
The burnt body of Chadrasekhar Jharia was recovered from a Hyundai Creta vehicle at Haldipali Chhack.
The Hyundai Creta car was parked on the side of the national highway, raising suspicions among passersby due to its prolonged stay. Upon closer inspection, they noticed a man inside the vehicle. The police were informed, and they arrived to break the car window, recovering the body.
It’s believed he died due to an AC short circuit. His wife stated Jharia left home at noon, didn’t answer his phone at night, and was later found dead in the vehicle.
“I continued calling him throughout the night, but he didn’t pick up. Now, on my way to the office, I found his vehicle on the road. I’m not sure if an AC short circuit led to the incident,” his wife said.
The police investigated, and the incident has sparked panic locally.
