Bhubaneswar: Police recovered the body of a junior engineer of the Boudh District Water Resources Department from his government quarters. The deceased junior engineer, identified as Pradeep Kumar Ghosh, was found hanging from the ceiling of his room.
According to reports, after attending a party in his office on Wednesday night, Pradeep returned home at around 2.00 am on Thursday. When he did not attend office today morning, his colleagues went to his government quarter and found it locked from inside. They knocked on the door and called his name several times but there was no response.
Finding no option, his colleagues broke down the back door of his quarter and entered his room. They were shocked to find Pradeep hanging from the ceiling of his room and reported the matter to the police.
The police informed the deceased family members of Pradeep’s death but no one reached the spot till the time of writing this report. As a result, the body of the junior engineer is still lying in his government quarters.
Meanwhile, police have launched a probe to ascertain the reason behind the junior engineer’s death. Preliminary investigation suggests that he has committed suicide.
