Kataka: Purighat police have arrested BJD corporator Satyaram Sahu in connection with an alleged cheating case involving ₹1.25 crore taken on the promise of providing land.
Sahu, the corporator of Ward No. 25 of the Kataka Municipal Corporation, allegedly took ₹1.25 crore from Guruprasad Maharana of Nima Sahi in Kataka in 2019, promising to arrange land for him.
Following a complaint in the matter, Purighat police arrested Sahu and produced him before a court, police said.
